The wind energy sector had an unavoidable date in the Wind Energy Convention 2011 organized by the Spanish Wind Energy Association in Madrid on June 7 and 8 that counted with a strong international presence of speakers from many countries but that also aimed to reflect the global leadership of the Spanish companies by both the degree of implementation of this technology in our country and for its presence in major markets worldwide. The fourth edition of the Wind Energy Convention was held one week before the Global Wind Day and on this occasion, it wanted to make a qualitative step forward not only by the range of eminent people who participated but also by the dynamism of the sessions that were developed following several different formulas that made the programme more attractive for the more than 350 attendees.
